Merijn Bisschops is an audiovisual artist (composer and photographer) from The Netherlands. He receives commissions by ensembles and festivals makes music for video art and short screenplays. Bisschops combines his talent for music and visual art in interdisciplinary performances, in which he does not shy away from complex themes as well as subtle humor.
His work was performed and shown at Theaterfestival Boulevard, EYE film museum, November Music, Festival Cement, Het Orgelpark, De Toonzaal, De NWE Vorst, Museum Beeld en Geluid, Van Abbemuseum (The Netherlands), Logos, Q-O2 (Belgium), 48th Dimitria Festival, Thessaloniki (Greece), Procembalo (Italy) and NCTU Arts Centre (Taiwan) SE Center for Photography in Greenville en de University of Northern Iowa (USA).
