Cases, Carles

Carles Cases’s extensive musical legacy comprises seventy film scores, fifty released albums, and nearly three thousand concerts. He dedicated twenty-five years to composing and producing soundtracks for both European and American cinema.
During the 1980s, he focused exclusively on serving as musical director for singer-songwriter Lluís Llach, working on both studio recordings and live performances—a collaboration that spanned some 800 concerts.
Currently, Carles Cases is immersed in composing and recording his own productions, while also performing his works in various formats, ranging from solo piano to trio, quartet, or orchestral settings.

In 2021, he released Minimal, his first minimalist work, and two years later came París-Casablanca-New York. In 2024, he published Música per a Ventura Pons.

In 2023 Carles Cases was awarded the Honorary Award of the International Festival of Social Film of Catalonia Clam a la trajedòria and in 2024 he was appointed Honorary Member of the Academy of Catalan Cinema.
