Nikos Kokolakis (1981) (GR) is a composer and sound artist living in Den Haag. He is one of the founding members and artistic leader of Catchpenny Ensemble since 2015. He is engaged in multidisciplinary artistic approaches and is an active member of various artists' initiatives, with a special focus on collective creation. His compositional approach is conceptual and his compositions are materialized with a strong emphasis on structures and patterns, drawing inspiration from spatial concepts.

Stream for Marimba (2016) won the first prize in the Composition Concours within the TROMP international percussion competition performed by Jonathan Bonny. In 2015 he won the second prize in the International Carillon Composition Contest in Zwolle for his piece Squarcle for Carillon, and in 2017 his work Bagatelles for Carillon was selected to be performed by Gijsbert Kok for the 100th anniversary of the Dutch Carillon Society.
