Frans Wiemans, pianist, cellist, organist, studied piano with Anton Benjamin Hendrik Verhey in Rotterdam and in 1915 graduated in engineering in Delft Netherlands, 1915-1921 he worked as architect as Ingenieursbureau Wiemans in Batavia, 1921 went to Berlin Germany to study piano with Ferruccio Busoni and composition with Phillip Jarnach, 4.nov.1924 he gave a concert at the Zendingskapel in Amsterdam, 1924-1928 he made European tours as pianist and performed in Berlin, Hamburg, Koln, Vienna, Amsterdam and Den Haag, 28.feb.1928 he gave a piano concert for the Kunstkring at the Schouwburg in Batavia, 21.apr.1928 he gave a farewell concert at the Schouwburg in Batavia for another tour of Europe, 16.jan.1929 he gave a concert organized by Kettner and C C Bender's Pianohandel at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, 1930 he withdrew from public musical life and settled as piano teacher in Bandoeng, 27.nov.1933 was his last concert in his Sangesopfer with soprano Maria Last organized by the Batavische Kunstkring at the Concordiazaal in Batavia.
