Toelichting:
I composed this piece based on impressions from a trip I took in London as well as the poem “In a London Drawing Room” by George Eliot. In this music, I wanted to express a day in London, one of the busiest cities in the world. For the instrumentation, I chose the saxophone for that instrument’s deeply expressive capabilities, as I wanted an instrument that could accurately imitate the distinct sound of car horns.
