This composition is a tribute to the legendary bass player Jaco Pastorius and is featuring Yoji Sato, the regular bass player of ensemble Nomad. Yoji Sato is the son of Norio Sato. Norio Sato is the conductor and visionary artistic director of Ensemble Nomad. Rijndert van Woudenberg has been working with the Nomad ensemble on a regular basis since 2009 and in his opinion this ensemble is one of the best contemporary music ensembles of our time. “There are many outstanding contemporary music ensembles in this world, but there is only one Ensemble Nomad. You can't compare this ensemble to anything. It is sophisticated and brutally rebellious at the same time. The vision behind this great group of breath taking musicians gives an experience that goes far beyond the music.”
