Three ‘urban’ songs for harp (or piano) and soundtrack with concert video ad lib. was composed in 2007 for harpist Lavinia Meijer with financial support from the Dutch Performing Arts Fund.

This speech groove based score is about women, struggling to survive without a home or in prison. About the harsh reality of living on the fringe of society. The title is a metaphor: City birds sing differently due to street noise, likewise city life has an impact on human beings.
