Program note (English): The title 'Projections' refers to the compositional technique in which the musical ideas of particular sections of the work are projected back or further forward to influence other, contrasted musical material. In this way there is a transformation of the material which influences all its various strands used in the compositional process. - DAVID ROWLAND
