Wo gilt diese Zeit...? : 7 short songs on Haiku by Imma von Bodmershof, for soprano and piano / Steven Hoogenberk; text by Imma von Bodmershof
Toelichting:
I had the pleasure of meeting Imma von Bodmershof (1895-1982) several times at the house of a dear relative in Switzerland, Lake Geneva, view on the Mont Blanc… A very friendly and noble Austrian lady, who made, among other works, hundreds of Haiku. The 7 poems I used for this composition come from the volume
“Löwenzahn” (=Dandelion). In this short song cycle I tried to express the circular movement of the seasons. The indications for the tempi have to be followed rather strictly. This in relation to the conciseness of the Haiku form.
