Program note (English): The Capriccio represents one of the first attempts to combine a traditional instrument with electronic music. The accompaniment was realised exclusively with twelve oscillators. This Capriccio is really a miniature violin concerto with an introduction, a whimsical principal movement, a slow movement, and a Finale which contains virtuoso passages. New temperaments are often used; they appear principally in the accompaniment, but occasionally influence the solo part as well, and they necessitate a special notation for the pitch. The slow movement exhibits a rhythmic novelty: it is written in 5/8 time, with quavers of different length. - HENK BADINGS
