Tune-in is a one minute radio tune composition for oboe solo commissioned by Radio 4 for the occasion of a 24 radio marathon consisting of broadcasting Dutch music only.
It is an initiative of Radio 4 in order to support Dutch composers and musicians who are heavily affected during the COVID 19 crisis.
The idea is that the tune will be heard regularly approximately every hour. In order to achieve maximum functionality, I have additionally made three more shorter versions, so that all of them together will serve the purpose and give a “playful” flexibility to the whole.
The tune can be played at any other instrument with the same range. It is even thinkable to transpose it an octave lower for instruments with a lower range.
