Toelichting:
The composition was inspired by the call of 7 different endangered birds in the Netherlands. Pitch, melody and rhythm of birdsongs are the leitmotifs in this dialogue between violin and birds. Electronic and sampled instruments were added to the original bird song audio.
Privately commissioned by Marcel en Tineke Creemers and dedicated to violinist Edwin Blankenstijn. The première took place on July 3, 2021 during the open air Zonneheuvel Zomernacht
Concerten in Doorn, the Netherlands.
