Program note (English): The work is conceived as a whole; each of the movements has its own characteristic structure and, viewed from the musical and psychological points of view, the three movements together indicate a variety of aspects of nature experienced in the manner of the Renaissance and of the poet Pierre de Ronsard, which guarantees a certain completeness. - RUDOLF ESCHER
