Program note (English): The work was composed in 1987 while the composer was living on a houseboat. The changes in the weather, the wide fields, the water birds, the constant moving of the boat, all this together brought about the mood in which Boatmusic was composed. The premiere took place in Vienna in 1988, performed by Alfred Melichar. The work was revised in 1993. - TERA DE MAREZ OYENS
