Program note (English): (Premiere: September 2000 - Baden (Switzerland) - Harry Sparnaay and Mats Scheidegger). - Albedo II (2000) came into being when Harry Sparnaay approached me to discuss a work for a new duo he had formed with the Swiss guitarist Mats Scheidegger. He pointed out that the addition of live electronics was an option and so it occurred to me that Albedo I could perhaps act as the backdrop to the bass clarinet and guitar duo. The object was now to integrate the instrumental part as much as possible into the electronic part. A CD with a click track is also available. - JAN VRIEND
