Program note (English): At the age of seventeen Dick Kattenburg wrote this flute sonata for Ima van Esso. She survived the war and managed to save this work. It was thought to be the sole surviving composition but after the performance by Eleonore Pameijer the niece of Kattenburg, Joyce van Hessen, found a considerable number of compositions in 2004.
