compositie
A study after Eadweard Muybridge 'The Human Figure in Motion' : for any instrumental combination / Patrick van Deurzen
Toelichting:
A study after Eadweard Muybridge ‘The Human Figure in Motion’ is not composed for a specific instrumental combination. The score is written as a melody – accompagniment to facilitate reading, but can be re-arranged in any way. The idea is that any combination of instruments can perform the composition, although some combinations might need some kind of arrangement. The performers are free to adapt the piece to their instruments. This might include
transposing (octavate) parts, rearrange notes from one stave to another (from one instrument to another) or leaving out notes.
The score does not contain any dynamic- or expression marks, nor phrasing, articulation or anything else. This is all up to the performers. The composer does not want to interfere with the decisions the performer has to make. One could play it load, soft, very dry, or with great passion. It’s up to you, performers.
Good luck!
